European Classics Animation is undertaking a full restoration of the classic animations, enhancing both visual and audio quality while preserving the distinctive aesthetic of Schmidt’s original work. This modernization allows Nick Knatterton to re-emerge as a timeless figure for contemporary audiences.
Our goal is to reintroduce this uniquely European detective to broadcasters across Europe, showcasing the blend of humor, intelligence, and artistic expression that made the series unforgettable.
As our second major project following Wum und Wendelin, Nick Knatterton strengthens our mission to preserve, celebrate, and revive Europe’s classic animated treasures.
